Our Mission Statement
OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE, SUPPORT AND RAISE AWARENESS FOR OUR LOCAL VETERANS THAT HAVE ALREADY DONE SO MUCH FOR US. IT'S TIME TO GIVE BACK TO THEM AS THEY DID FOR US.
Who We Are |
This year the Alpha Gamma Sigma State Organization has asked all of the chapters in California to support the National Wounded Warriors Project. Not only had these warriors fought to protect their country and to survive in sometimes very harsh conditions, they come home to us and find that they now must fight to survive here on their own soil. Often times, those who have been injured or discharged from service, have a difficult time returning to their civilian lives. They may have been career military and specifically trained for a job that does not exist outside of the military. They may have been injured or have PTSD from being in combat, they may not have family to come home to, and no place to live when they return home. They become homeless and without an address have a difficult time receiving benefits or applying for employment. There are many reasons as to why this project is important to us and Gamma Epsilon believes strongly in supporting our local community. Our main focus is to support and help our Warriors at home.
AGS Gamma Epsilon Chapter has decided to raise funds to develop on campus scholarships for LMC Veterans/Combat soldiers and plans to donate to a local organization that supports services for homeless veterans. |
